Ellis ruled out of Commonwealth Games 31/10/2005 06:02:04 PM
Australian netball captain Liz Ellis says she is setting her sights on playing at the 2007 World championship, after being ruled out of next year's Commonwealth Games.
Ellis will undergo a knee reconstruction after rupturing a cruciate ligament in the Test against New Zealand in Auckland last Saturday.
The veteran goal keeper says she will sidelined for six to eight months.
Australian coach Norma Plummer had indicated she would like Ellis to remain involved with the team in the lead up to the Commonwealth Games.
Ellis says she would love to help the team but isn't sure she could emotionally deal with that situation.
