Essendon have de-listed young midfielder Tom Hislop from their AFL list, giving the Bombers a further chance to boost their intake at next month's national draft. Hislop, who played seven games over the 2007-08 seasons, became the ninth player cut from the 2008 playing list, following the retirements of Jason Johnson, Mal Michael and Adam Ramanauskas and the de-listings of Damien Peverill, Andrew Lee and Courtney Johns and rookies Dean Dick and Danny Chartres. The Dons promoted rookie Jarrod Atkinson to the senior list and traded their third-round draft pick to Geelong, for midfielder Brent Prismall. That means they will five selections in the national draft.
