Yes Jeff, but you cannot dare compare world cricket competitions to the football World Cup

The football World Cup is taken seriously by well over 100 countries, qualification for the event lasts for nearly 2 years!! Looking at the last WC final, neither Spain or Holland had ever won a tournament until now (these are great footballing nations too). Now Spain can join and elite group that includes Germany, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, ENGLAND, France and Italy of winners of this great event

The cricket World Cup is played by three countries that take the game seriously (Sri Lanka, India, Australia and Pakistan), three of these are 3rd World Countries, and Pakistan aren't really functioning as a country any more either

Basically the cricket world cup is FAR easier to win than the football World Cup, which is why the 50 over game has now officially died

Twent20 now rules and ENGLAND ARE THE CHAMPIONS!!!

Gotta love it

Looks like UK Steve is back with another new name! And only 4 posts to unmask himself!

The stands seemed pretty full during the Australia v England 50 over series (in England).

Who is UK Steve?

The stands in England were full mostly with Aussies if you looked closely at the crowd and the grounds are very small anyway

Yep. Saw that. And as per usual there is no mention of the recent loss to the Bangers.

i would be more worried about Australia dropping down the test rankings faster than a rock in water
