Inside the Sheds

I'M hearing there's probably only two clubs who could afford to pick up Todd Carnage and they're the Rabbitohs and the Dragons. Saints are cashed up after old mate Gaz decided to bid au revoir and the Bunnies have had a secret kitty stashed for the past six months, anticipating a Willie Mason scenario like what went down at the Dogs last year.
Both clubs could do with Carney's talent on the field but what they don't need is the jibberish he brings off it. I can't see Wayne Bennett putting up with Carney's benders and it's hard to see where he would fit it at Souths given they've now unearthed Chris Sandow. Still, it'll be interesting to see how the Raiders roll on this one. For mine, he'll end up staying.

ONE of the worst kept secrets in the game right now is the fact Luke Priddis is going to the Dragons to link with Wayne Bennett next season. To be frank, what rubbish. Priddis was a great hooker in his day but the game's gone flying past him in the past 12 months and if Bennett can get two good seasons out of him then he's a better coach than Jack Gibson was.

PARRAMATTA. Please. What the hell is going on here? Not wanting to sugar coat a bitter pill, the coach has got massive problems. There's simply too many on-field issues to list. Goal-line defence. Non-existent. Recruitment and retention. Forget about it. The back-row. Wagon and Robinson plodding. The front row. Cayless has seen better days. Remember where you read it first, the Eels are on a dangerous slide and I can't see them getting off for a couple of years. They'll miss the finals this season and struggle again next year.

GO the Tigers. If there's one team I really want to see get another crack at finals footy, it's Tim Sheens and the Wests Tigers. The style of footy they play is so entertaining it seems cruel for them not to feature in September. I reckon the Tigers need to win four of their last seven to make it, so I'm crossing fingers for the roll to start Saturday night against Penrith.
