If the Wallabies wheels fall off in a forest....

So a wee bit of rain and the wheels fall off the Wobblies bandwagon? Seems like we're a shoe in to NOT win the World Cup next year. I guess it will be kind of relaxing going into a tournament with no expectations for once. Seems that for most other sports there's all this pressure on us to win, so should be a relaxing tournament for the guys. Might have time to pick up a few French ladies... And ya gotta LOVE them French ladies...

And a word of advice for those going over to watch next year - do as we did during this year's World Cup in Germany: enjoy the beer, the women, and let the rest take care of itself! If the Wobblies need a bit of practice in the mud they should head over to my part of the world. Been raining like cats and dogs in Kenya the past few weeks. The "short rains" they call it, but seems like bloody long rains to me! Get anywhere away from the main town or highways and there is mud everywhere. Especially chronic in the slum area, Kiandutu, just outside the town of Thika I'm staying in. Rivers of mud flowing through the streets. Sorry ladies, no high heals in this part of the world! But the kids love it of course... mud and water and slipperiness everywhere...

Am a little concerned with exactly how much rain and mud there is in Kiandutu at the moment. Planning the second Michezo youth football tournament (www.michezoyouth.com) in a few weeks, and am not one for loving spending 10 hours walking around with mud up to my ankles. Not unless it was with a few mud-wrestling ladies that is...

So any reading this, please drop me a line and we'll arrange some lodgings for you over here!

Over and out.
