Palio Sienna - crazy races and more
The Palio Sienna was an amazing tour. I did the two week version that went to Ibiza and La Tomatina. And highly recommend this option!I think we were the inaugural trip and there were 20 of us for the whole 2 weeks and they were a brilliant bunch!
The mix of places that we visited was great. I nice mix of history with Rome and Florence, the most amazing festival with Palio Sienna, which I first was interested in after it featured in James Bond’s movie the other year.
This is the most non touristic festival I have been too which just made it!! Locals just doing their medieval stuff, and the food in Sienna has always been known for its prestige.
Moving out of Italy, to Barcelona, which does not need any more great words as it gets enough accolades, we flew down to Ibiza for a bloody wild few nights enjoying all the flavours on offer there!
Crazy is not enough to describe it, just wish there was a quicker cure to get me in better shape for La Tomatina, which we attended a day later in Bunol, just south of Valencia.
Leaving the tour was really sad and I had a some withdrawal symptoms as I went off to Turkey... Lucky Turkey met and beat expectations!!
