Australia wins men's basketball gold

The Australian men's basketball team has survived a huge scare to claim the gold medal at the Commonwealth Games with an 81-76 victory over New Zealand.
The Boomers were a $1.04 gold medal favourite with SportsTAB entering the tournament, with the Tall Blacks a distant second at $7.50.
But the underdog Kiwis were on track for a stunning upset when they led by a point, 62-61, at three-quarter time.
Spurred on by a boisterous, sold-out crowd, however, the Boomers rallied for a nail-biting five-point triumph.
