Fanatics tour members receive 'dream draw' for 2010 FIFA World Cup™ - a new range of packages have just been released for R16, 1/4's, Semi's & Final

New Follow Australia tour on sale now

The draw for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ has been finalised with Fanatics tour members in Cape Town and Durban receiving a dream draw.

Australia have been drawn to play 3 times Champion and the 6th ranked team in the world, Germany, in the opening match in Durban - the home of Fanatics HQ. Australia then travel to the small town of Rustenburg to face Ghana and finish with a match against Serbia in Nelspruit, on the border of Kruger National Park.

The good news for Australians fans is that we managed to miss having any games in Johannesburg in the group stage and the Socceroos can only potentially play two of their matches in Joburg; the Final and one of the Quarter-Finals. A great result for Australian tourists and one which we think will mean more Socceroo fans travelling to South Africa.

Now that the draw is finalised and the matches decided, Fanatics tourists are faced with some mouth watering tour options.

Due to its location on the Indian Ocean the weather in Durban at this time of year is superb. So rather than experience the cold winter days of the cities at altitude Fanatics HQ Durban tour members will enjoy the nearby beaches before donning the jersey, boardies and thongs to stroll less than 1km down the road to Australia’s first match against Germany.

But the action doesn’t stop there with HQ members having the option to attend the match of the tournament with Portugal taking on Brazil in your own backyard. Add to that the chance to see the world’s number 1 ranked team Spain and you know that Durban HQ will be the epicentre for Australian football fans in 2010.

Three of the world’s top five teams plus the Socceroos – now that’s a football tour!

Torres, Ronaldo, Kaka, Iniesta, Xavi, Villa, Fabregas, Robinho and Cesar will all be calling Durban home in 2010 - will you?

Cape Town Base tour members could not have hoped for a better draw and the stars were certainly shining on the Cape Town tourism board with an incredible list of group stage matches. Tour members have the opportunity to see no less than 6 of the world’s top 11 teams in action over the 16 days of their tour; France, Italy, England, Portugal, Netherlands and Cameroon.

We recently returned from the Draw where we were reminded just how good Cape Town is as a destination, it really is world class and it deserves to be in the spotlight. The city will be pumping come June 2010 and Ribery, Henry, Rooney, Eto’o, Gerrard and Lampard will be enjoying one of the world’s great cities - so why don't you join them!

It is important to note that many of our Cape Town hotel options are now sold out and we don’t have many hotels remaining. So if you are sitting on the fence with Cape Town we suggest you get in quickly.

We have just released a new Follow Australia tour where we stay in Durban, Rustenburg and Nelspruit; the cities where Australia's group stage matches are played.

Follow the links on the left hand side of this page for the Follow Australia, Follow New Zealand and Follow Australia and New Zealand packages.

Group Stage Tours

Fanatics HQ Durban: This tour is that unbelievable that when we released it everyone thought it was a practical joke! That's right - we have booked out the 25,000 seater Kingsmead Cricket Stadium for our own 2 & 1/2 week live site. Fanatics HQ Durban is an affordable 16 night extravaganza of football action that really has to be seen to be believed.

Cape Town Base: Cape Town is truly one of the world’s great cities! Spend two weeks here and we guarantee that you'll be contemplating moving to this fabulous city when your tour is over - it's that good!

Why Tour with Fanatics?

Every football tour operator is going to tell you they are better than the next but here's a few facts - Fanatics are Australia's largest football tour operator by a country mile. At the 2010 tournament we will take 10 times what our nearest competitor will be taking.

Why is that? Quite simply - we do things better. We have a great range of accommodation to suit all budgets, we organise great parties and after running back to back FIFA World Cup™ tours since Italia 1990 we know how the tournament works. Once our passengers have been on one tour with us they know that we offer a great time and the best value tours. More bang for your buck you could say. Football is in our blood, not just a tour we pull out every 4 years come FIFA World Cup™ time.

Do you really want to risk your once in a lifetime tour with a tour company that is just 'wetting their feet' at South Africa 2010? There are a lot of hurdles at a FIFA World Cup™ - go with someone who has been there and done it many times before. Enough of that jibber, now read on and enjoy this page then make up your own mind.
