Queenslanders are being urged to show up in droves for Wednesday's tickertape parade for the Brisbane Broncos.

The parade will start at 8.30am (AEST) and wind its way through the Queen Street Mall in the CBD to Brisbane City Hall, where the team will be given a civic reception.

The Broncos will then head to Suncorp Stadium for a lap of honour.

Acting Premier Anna Bligh has urged Queenslanders to come out and support the Broncos at the parade and at Suncorp Stadium.

"They have done us proud and I am anticipating that will be reflected by the number of people who will come out to show their support," she said.

Free buses will be provided to shuttle people from the city to the stadium.

On Sunday the Broncos clinched the club's sixth premiership in 19 seasons with a 15-8 win over the Melbourne Storm at Sydney's Telstra Stadium.
