Great Britain has rounded out its preparations for the Tri Nations with a comfortable 40-6 win over a brave but outclassed Newcastle Representative side in a sometimes spiteful encounter at EnergyAustralia Stadium.

The home side put in an admirable performance but the superior size and skill levels of the British was too much for the team of amateur players from the local competition.

Great Britain opens its Tri Nations campaign next Saturday again New Zealand in Christchurch and, despite the lop-sided scoreline, will need to improve on this performance to be competitive in the tournament.
