Lleyton Hewitt will become the No.1 ticket-holder for National Basketball League side the Adelaide 36ers, the club announced.

It follows the world No.1 tennis player being awarded the No.1 ticket of AFL club the Adelaide Crows on Monday.

He will share the basketball honour with South Australia's Governor and former champion athlete Marjorie Jackson-Nelson.

"We are really thrilled to have two individuals of the calibre of Lleyton and the Governor willing to come on board as our joint No.1 ticket-holders," Sixers chairman Bernie Lewis said.

"They obviously must get many requests and to accept our invitation says something about the club and in particular the high esteem that (coach) Phil Smyth is held in."

Hewitt will be presented with a special singlet at the team's home match against the Melbourne Tigers at the Clipsal Powerhouse tomorrow night.
