Foxtel is set show key games this coming AFL season under an agreement reached with free-to-air rights holders the Seven and Ten networks.

The Australian newspaper reports the agreement will see Seven broadcast Friday night games in all states except NSW, ACT and Queensland - where Foxtel will carry the game live.

The pay-tv operator will also show Saturday day and night games, along with Network Ten.

Sunday day games will be split between Seven and Foxtel - with the latter also showing the twilight game.

However, AFL fans in Adelaide and Perth may be forced to subscribe to the pay-television service, with Foxtel also given first rights to four games involving teams in the two cities.

The details of the agreement were set to be released on Wednesday.
