Hird could miss Richmond match
Essendon captain James Hird is still in doubt for Saturday's AFL clash with Richmond.
Hird trained at Windy Hill as he attempted to overcome a corked thigh suffered in Sunday's loss to Fremantle.
Exciting forward Damian Cupido could also miss the MCG clash with the Tigers after a shoulder complaint prevented him from training.
Fullback Dustin Fletcher (ankle) and utility Dean Rioli (hamstring) are set to miss.
The Bombers are expected to hand a debut to 18-year-old midfielder Jason Winderlich, who was picked up in last year's national draft.
Richmond skipper Wayne Campbell (calf) and forward Adam Houlihan (hamstring) will miss Saturday's match after sustaining injuries in last weekend' loss to Port Adelaide.
Hard working midfielder Clinton King is expected to return to the Tigers line-up.
