West Coast midfielders Chad Fletcher and Mark Nicoski will return for Friday night's AFL match against Carlton at Subiaco.

They are back after a week in the WAFL as the Eagles made four changes.

They also recalled Jaymie Graham and Jamie McNamara.

Daniel Kerr starts his three-week suspension, Adam Hunter has a knee injury, Shannon Hurn is out with a shin problem and Brent Staker was dropped.

Carlton's rookie-list midfielder David Ellard will make his AFL debut among three changes to the Blues lineup.

The Blues lost Adam Hartlett with a hamstring injury and Bret Thornton is out with a knee problem, while they dropped Darren Pfeiffer.

They also recalled Setanta O'hAilpin and Simon Wiggins.

Originally from Swan Districts, Ellard joined Carlton this year through the rookie draft.

St Kilda named Fraser Gehrig, Michael Gardiner and Adam Schneider for Saturday night's match against Richmond at Telstra Dome.

Brisbane midfielder Travis Johnstone is out with a hamstring injury for Saturday's match against Geelong at Skilled Stadium.
