Melbourne made five changes, including regaining ruckman Jeff White from injury, for Sunday's AFL clash with St Kilda at Telstra Dome.

Veteran Adem Yze was also recalled, for his first match since round one, along with Colin Sylvia, Paul Wheatley and Lynden Dunn.

Aaron Davey (hamstring) and Cale Morton (flu) were forced out, but Ben Holland, Mark Jamar and Shane Valenti were all dropped from the team that lost narrowly to top-placed Hawthorn last round.

The Saints, criticised by their coach Ross Lyon as soft in last week's loss to Brisbane, made just two changes, with Aaron Fiora and Leigh Fisher the players dropped, replaced by David Armitage and Matthew Ferguson.

Sydney running defender Tadhg Kennelly returns from a knee injury for Sunday's SCG meeting with Richmond, with Tim Schmidt dropped, despite kicking a crucial goal late in last round's narrow win over Port Adelaide.

The Tigers named an unchanged side.

Port Adelaide lost Brett Ebert with an ankle injury for their match against Fremantle at Subiaco on Sunday, replacing him with Nathan Krakouer.

The Dockers regained hard-nosed midfielder Josh Carr from suspension and defender Marcus Drum from injury, but lost Steven Dodd to a calf injury and dropped Byron Schammer.
