Gold Coast forward Aaron Cannings has been ruled out for six weeks, with scans confirming he has sustained a fractured fibula.

Cannings suffered the injury to his left leg in Monday night's loss to South Sydney and won't be alone in the Titans growing injury ward.

Co-captain Luke Bailey is still awaiting results of scans on his injured ankle while fellow forward Daniel Conn is battling a shoulder injury.

The injuries could not come at a worse time for the Titans after the loss to the Rabbitohs saw them slip off the ladder leading pace set by Manly, Melbourne, Sydney Roosters and Cronulla.

It is also a cruel blow to Cannings as the 110kg prop had not missed an NRL clash for the Titans since joining from Parramatta in the offseason.
