England unchanged for Kangaroos clash

England coach Tony Smith has made no changes to his team ahead of Sunday's World Cup clash with tournament favourites Australia at the Telstra Dome.

Smith has kept faith with the 17 players that produced a lacklustre 32-22 win over Papua New Guinea in Townsville last Saturday night.

Winger Lee Smith, who scored a hat-trick on debut in last week's win, was named despite ongoing concerns over his foot injury.

Wigan winger Mark Calderwood is the man most likely to come into the side if Smith is ruled out later in the week.

The battle between Australia and England looms as the pivotal clash in the top pool as the victor is likely to secure a semi-final against one of the minnow nations.
