Australian back Paul Warwick has joined London Irish from Munster on a three-year contract, the English Premiership side announced on Tuesday.

Warwick, 28, will join the current league leaders from the Irish province at the start of next season on a deal that will keep him with the Exiles until 2012.

A full-back or an outside-half, Warwick has scored over 200 points in 33 appearances for Munster and has helped the holders reach the quarter-finals of this season's European Cup.

"Quality not quantity has been the philosophy underlying our recruitment policy, so when the opportunity came to sign a top-class player like Paul Warwick we jumped at the chance," said London Irish head coach Toby Booth.

"Paul is a match-winning player whose performances at fly-half and full-back speak for themselves. He is a welcome addition as we continue to build a world-class squad at London Irish."

Before joining Munster in 2007, former Australia Under-21 and Sevens international Warwick spent several seasons with provincial rivals Connacht having previously played for Sydney club side Manly.
