Boom Wests Tigers fullback Tim Moltzen has been ruled out of NRL action for four weeks with a dislocated right elbow.

Moltzen has undergone scans which have revealed a dislocated radio-ulnar joint and will now begin a rehabilitation program.

The 20-year-old suffered the injury in the opening minute of Saturday night's loss to Penrith.

Meanwhile, Manly centre Steve Matai has also undergone scans on his injured neck and the Sea Eagles expected to get the results on Tuesday morning.

Matai reportedly experienced feeling pins and needles, a worrying sign for the Kiwi international who has a history of neck and shoulder problems.
