North Queensland forward Carl Webb has paid the price for being disorganised after he was dropped from the NRL side for turning up 25 minutes late to a recovery session.

Webb was late to the Cowboys' Sunday recovery session after failing to properly organise transportation while he is without a driving licence.

But coach Neil Henry did not tolerate any excuses as he dropped the one-Test prop to the Queensland Cup, along with winger John Williams who failed to show for the session.

"The rules are pretty straight forward," said club chief executive Peter Parr.

"The football department have the rules and they expect everyone to abide by them.

"The coach was clear when he got here he would not tolerate any breach with what he expects of the players."

Parr said he did not believe alcohol was a factor in the players missing the session.

"Carl I'm led to believe did not have himself organised properly given he does not have a licence at the moment," he said.

"John slept through his alarm and missed the entire session."

Halfback Grant Rovelli will join the pair in the Queensland Cup this week as he was dropped for returning centre Willie Tonga (groin) in the side to play Cronulla in Adelaide on Sunday.

Cronulla prop Kade Snowden is back from suspension while former Titan Ian Donnelly will make his Sharks debut after leaving the Gold Coast last week.

Grant Millington and Johnny Mannah have dropped off Cronulla's bench.

The NRL clash will not only be the first in Adelaide for several years but it is also the first time Sharks coach Ricky Stuart and his men face World Cup final referee Ashley Klein.

Stuart famously berated Klein in a hotel lobby after New Zealand beat Australia in the final - the exchange later costing Stuart his Test coaching job.

NRL ladder-leaders St George Illawarra have recalled centre Chase Stanley to replace the injured Neville Costigan (hand) for Saturday's clash with Newcastle at WIN Jubilee Oval.

Jon Green and Ricky Thorby have been added to an extended bench for suspended prop Michael Weyman.

Warriors captain Steve Price has been rushed back for Sunday's must-win clash with the Sydney Roosters at Mt Smart Stadium.

The Warriors have lost three straight and Price has missed the last two games with a serious throat injury.

Hulking winger Manu Vatuvei (knee) also returns, off-setting the loss of fullback Wade McKinnon (hamstring), while Roosters forward Sia Soliola is back after missing just one week with a fractured eye socket.

Parramatta winger Joel Reddy returns from injury to face the Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium on Sunday with Taulima Tautai dropped to an extended interchange bench.

Wests Tigers fullback Tim Moltzen returns from a dislocated elbow with Rhys Hanbury moved back to the bench and Shannon McDonnell sent to the NSW Cup for Monday's clash with Melbourne at Leichhardt Oval.

Tigers coach Tim Sheens has also reconfigured his forward pack with Todd Payten moved from lock to prop, Bryce Gibbs to start on the interchange and Danny Galea at lock.
