Winger Sitiveni Sivivatu won't join the Super 14-leading Chiefs on their rugby tour of South Africa as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury.

All Blacks flyer Sivivatu, who scored six tries in his last two games before suffering the injury against the Queensland Reds on March 28, is now aiming for a return in the home game against the Hurricanes on May 9.

Coach Ian Foster had hoped to get Sivivatu services for next week's match against the Stormers in Cape Town, the last of their three-match South African tour, but said his shoulder is not ready.
