St Helens have beaten Catalans Dragons for the second consecutive week on Saturday, but they had to battle back from 22-10 down at half-time to beat the French side 32-28.

Last weekend, Saints had crushed Dragons 42-8 in the Challenge Cup but this time needed three tries in 15 minutes after the break to ensure they went back to the top of the table after Hull KR had taken over on Friday.

Saints' try-scorers were Leon Pryce, Gary Wheeler, Francis Meli, Paul Wellens and Ade Gardner with a brace.

In the day's other game, Warrington edged Hull 18-16.

Hull KR beat Wigan 20-12 on Friday to take over as temporary leaders.

Paul Cooke and Jake Webster scored tries early in the second half to set up victory.

A last-gasp Kevin Sinfield penalty denied Castleford a draw as Leeds won a rain-lashed thriller 24-22.

The scores were level when Michael Shenton was penalised for offside in front of the posts with five seconds remaining and Sinfield made no mistake.
