Melbourne have re-signed NSW Origin prop Brett White through to the end of the 2012 NRL season.

White becomes the latest in a long list of players to pledge their future to the Storm, joining the likes Billy Slater, Cameron Smith, Greg Inglis, Ryan Hoffman, Cooper Cronk and Dallas Johnson in signing long-term deals.

"I wanted to stay in Melbourne long-term and the club has provided me with an opportunity to do that," White said in a statement released by the club.

"I see a big future for rugby league in Melbourne. I want to play my role in growing the game down here."

White will line up alongside Kiwi international Adam Blair in the front row when the Storm host Cronulla at Olympic Park on Saturday night.
