Both coaches of the NRL's inaugural All Stars match on the Gold Coast are chasing replacements following four withdrawals on Thursday.

The NRL All Stars have lost forwards Dave Taylor, Gareth Ellis and Alan Tongue while Indigenous All Stars coach Neil Henry, already sweating over the fitness of Greg Inglis, has lost Daine Laurie to a foot injury.

Taylor injured an ankle at training on Thursday, while Canberra skipper Tongue has aggravated a wrist injury and Ellis has withdrawn on compassionate grounds with his wife giving birth to the couple's first child.

Henry and NRL All Stars coach Wayne Bennett are expected to announce their replacement players on Friday.

Inglis may also have to pull out with his hip injury set to be assessed by Melbourne's medical staff on Friday.

While the Queensland and Kangaroos star is desperate to play at Skilled Park on Saturday week, he says he won't put his NRL campaign with the Storm in jeopardy if the news isn't good on the complaint.
