Ryan unfazed by McKinnon arrival

Beau Ryan has welcomed the imminent arrival of Wade McKinnon to the Wests Tigers even if it does put his place in the NRL side under threat.

The former Parramatta fullback will link up with his new teammates for the first time on Monday and Ryan, who scored the Tigers' opening try in Friday's 50-6 romp over McKinnon's former side the Warriors, said acquiring the 29-year-old is a great boost for the team.

"Wade is a top class player and a great signing for us, and is only going to make us a better side," Ryan told AAP.

"I can only worry about my own game and nothing else and whether I play on the wing or at fullback, I don't really mind, I just want to play a part in this team."

The Tigers' stunning second-half display saw them post 46 points in 40 minutes against the sorry Warriors and no-one was more delighted at the final siren than the charismatic Ryan, as Tim Sheens' side got back to their entertaining best.

"I love it when we play well in front of our own fans, we have not been too good at home in recent weeks and I just wanted to show how happy I was that we can give them something to cheer about again," he said, even though there were just 10,861 spectators in attendance.

The win was the Tigers' second successive victory following a woeful run of four straight losses that included a 50-10 humiliation by South Sydney at the SCG.

It was also some personal redemption for Ryan, who banished memories of his last-minute mistake against Sydney Roosters in the round eight heartbreaking 12-8 defeat at Campbelltown.

"I cost us the game the last time we played at Campbelltown, and we have had a tough couple of weeks since then, but hopefully we are through the worst of it," Ryan said.

"We have won two in a row, but that doesn't mean we are back in form, we have spoken about our attitude and we know that for whatever reason it wasn't as good as it should have been.

"We know we are a good side, and if we can remain focused then we can really do something this season."
