Highlanders to advertise for new coach

Glenn Moore's coaching future is in doubt after the New Zealand Rugby Union and the Highlanders confirmed on Saturday that the club's head and assistant coach roles will be advertised.

The decision to advertise both roles was taken by the NZRU on the recommendation of the coaching review panel that has conducted its 2010 Super 14 season review of the current head coach Moore and his assistant Peter Russell.

Moore's contract had been due to end after the 2011 season.

Both coaches are eligible to reapply for the positions.

The review panel consisted of NZRU board member Graham Mourie, NZRU high performance coach development manager Mike Chu, Highlanders' chairman Ross Laidlaw and Highlanders' project manager Roger Clark.

The coaching positions will be advertised from June 27.

The Highlanders struggled again this season before finishing 11th.
