Farah queries Manly's Gosford move

Wests Tigers skipper Robbie Farah claims Manly have forfeited a massive advantage by taking Sunday's vital NRL clash to the Central Coast.

Farah could barely hide his delight at the fact his Tigers would not have to face the Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval, where they've recorded just one win in the joint venture's history.

Conversely the Tigers are a perfect three from three in matches played at Bluetongue Stadium, where Manly also boast an unblemished five from five record.

"You ask any team in the comp and they'd be happy to avoid Brookie, it's a pretty tough place to go and Manly have turned that into a bit of a fortress," Farah said.

"We enjoy playing there (at Bluetongue Stadium), we've had a good couple of results up there.

"It's definitely more enjoyable having to play Manly there than at Brookie - it's a pretty intimidating place to go."

But `Fortress Brookie' appears to have lost some of its fear factor in recent times with Manly boasting a meagre 10-8 win-loss record there over the last two seasons.

With just four points separating the two sides, Sunday's encounter could prove vital in shaping the top eight.

The Tigers could take a big step towards cementing a top four finish with a win, while the Sea Eagles would be in danger of dropping out of the eight with a loss.

Farah however said the Tigers would not be getting ahead of themselves despite winning seven of their last eight matches heading into the contest.

"We're getting closer but we're not there yet and I don't think we can start to get complacent," Farah said.

"It's still a pretty tight ladder behind us and a couple of losses in row and you fall back to the pack and start to doubt yourself again.

"Hopefully we can pick up as many wins as we can the next few weeks and guarantee ourselves a spot as early as we can."
