Wallabies five-eighth Matt Giteau will lead the Barbarians against world champions South Africa at Twickenham on Saturday.

Giteau has played twice for the invitational side but has never led it.

Gitaeu said: "this is a great honour."

The No.10 is one of six Australians in a strong starting lineup also featuring five All Blacks.

Joe Rococoko and Ma'a Nonu are on the wings outside Australia's Drew Mitchell and Adam Ashley-Cooper. The Wallaby-dominated backline is completed by James O'Connor at fullback and scrumhalf Will Genia.

Chris Jack, Rodney So'oialo and Neemia Tialata are the other New Zealand internationals picked, with uncapped Kiwi Colin Bourke in at No.8.
