Bulldogs skipper Ryan moved to prop

Canterbury coach Kevin Moore has reacted to his side's three-game losing streak by shifting skipper Andrew Ryan to the front row for Friday night's NRL clash against Gold Coast.

Former Test backrower Ryan was moved to prop to cover for injured workhorse Aiden Tolman, who sustained a grade two medial ligament strain in last week's loss to Canberra.

Ryan's move has opened the way for Jake Foster to return to the starting line-up, his inclusion giving the Bulldogs a more dynamic look to the second row with Frank Pritchard lining up on the left edge.

Veteran prop Michael Hodgson returns on the bench, while NSW Origin hooker Michael Ennis will resume his role at dummy half with Josh Reynolds dropping back to the NSW Cup.
