The Sydney Roosters have confirmed the signing of promising young hooker James Aubusson for three NRL seasons.

Aubusson will return to the Roosters in 2008 after two years at the Melbourne Storm, where he has learnt his trade under Australian hooker Cameron Smith.

As Smith's understudy he has only played just two full NRL games this season but on both occasions claimed man of the match honours.

A former Australian Schoolboy, Aubusson will rejoin his brother Mitchell, who is looking forward to his return.

"It's exciting news for James, myself and the family. We've always wanted to play at the top level together and to get that opportunity now is great," said Mitchell Aubusson.
