Australia's Nikkie Campbell has picked up the International team's first points in the Lexus Cup, but Asia still holds a 9 1/2 to 2 1/2 advantage at the Vines Rest and Country club.

Campbell and Brazil's Angela Park scored a dominant 3 and 2 win in Saturday's opening match, gaining revenge over Jeong Jang and Shi Hyun Ahn.

Asia won all six matches on the opening day and finished with three of the six fourball matches on Saturday and require just three of Sunday's singles matches to claim the title.

The international team claimed just two points on Saturday, Americans Nicole Castrale and Cristie Kerr securing a 3 and 2 win over Sarah and Meena Lee for the other points.

American Stacy Prammanasudh's almost holed out with her second shot at the 17th as she and Morgan Pressel halved the match with Candie Kung and Ayako Uehara.

But the international team's job could become almost impossible after Norwegian Suzann Petterson retired with a back injury.

Petterson was having a poor round and walked off after 10 holes to leave Natalie Gulbis to play out the match solo.

But not even six birdies from Gulbis could stop Jee Young Lee and Seon Hwa Lee securing a 2-up win.

Asian pair Amy Hung and Ji Yai Shin beat Maria Hjorth and Brittany Lincicome 2 and 1.

Team Asia captain Se Ri Pak overcame a shoulder injury to strike a crucial blow late in the day.

She combined with teammate In-Kyung Kim to beat international captain Annika Sorenstam and Catriona Matthew 1 up in the final match.
