Peachey out of Penrith clash

Cronulla fullback David Peachey has failed to recover from a thigh strain and has been ruled out of Sunday's National Rugby League match against Penrith at Toyota Park.

Peachey sustained the injury in the round 13 win over Brisbane and missed Cronulla's loss to Canberra last Saturday night.

His unavailability comes on top of the absence of fellow Sharks playmaker Brett Kimmorley, who is out with a hamstring injury.

David Simmons moves to fullback for the Sharks, with speedster Matthew Rieck selected on the wing.

In better news for the Sharks, tryscoring centre Nigel Vagana was named to play against Penrith, despite missing the Raiders match with an ankle injury.
