Australian sprinter Baden Cooke claimed theTour de France green jersey after topping the race's points competition after a dramatic finish line sprint against compatriot Robbie McEwen.

The 20th and final stage was won by Jean-Patrick Nazon while Lance Armstrong won his fifth consecutive yellow jersey.

Cooke, the 24-year-old fjeux.com sprinter who won the second stage of the race, was awarded second place behind Nazon and that was enough to give him the jersey which he had worn for 12 days during the race.

Cooke finished the race with a two-point lead over 31-year-old McEwen, who had won the sprinters points competition last year and who had taken the jersey off Cooke only three days ago.

Germany's former six-time consecutive winner Erik Zabel came third in the points competition.
