Port Adelaide acting captain Warren Tredrea was again honoured for his outstanding season after winning the AFL Coaches Association player of the year award.

Tredrea won with 97 votes, nine ahead of West Coast midfielder Chris Judd.

Tredrea's team-mate Chad Cornes was third and Sydney key forward Barry Hall was fourth.

Port's Mark Williams was also voted the coach of the year.

Last week, Tredrea was named captain and centre half-forward in the AFL All-Australian team and is a strong Brownlow Medal fancy.
