West Tigers star Chris Lawrence has been cleared to play in Friday's NSW City v Country rugby league clash but his City centre partner Michael Jennings remains in doubt.

Both players have been battling ankle injuries ahead of the representative match in Orange, NSW.

Lawrence had scans on Monday morning and was cleared of serious injury but City are still waiting on news on the Penrith speedster Jennings, who was unable to join the team camp on Monday morning.

If Jennings is ruled out he could be replaced by Gold Coast's Brett Delaney or Cronulla's Ben Pomeroy.

City interchange forward Adam Cuthbertson is also in some doubt with an elbow injury but is expected to play.
