Loose forward Micheal Luck has been re-signed by the Warriors until the end of the 2012 NRL season.

Off contract at the end of this season, he will now extend his association with the club to at least seven years after arriving in Auckland from North Queensland for the 2006 season.

"This is definitely where I wanted to stay from the outset," stand-in skipper Luck, 28, said on Monday.

"It was a great move to come to Auckland in the first place and I couldn't be happier knowing I'm staying here for two more years."

Warriors coach Ivan Cleary said the Queenslander's re-signing was critical to the club's future.

"Lucky is a terrific professional and a high-quality person. He epitomises what a club needs and we're really fortunate to have someone like him," he said.

"Whether he's playing or training, he shirks nothing and he has the rare ability to play despite carrying injuries that would sideline others. His work rate is unmatched and he places the highest value on what this club means to him."

In the second-round outing against Cronulla this year, Luck became the 17th player to appear in 100 NRL games for the Warriors.
