Dogs a flag chance, says Crows coach

Adelaide coach Neil Craig rates Western Bulldogs a "genuine chance" of claiming this year's AFL premiership.

Craig's Crows host the 'Dogs at AAMI Stadium on Sunday, with the visitors seeking a win to entrench their top four position.

"They have got a good depth of squad ... a good blend of real experience, hardness, so I would think (Bulldogs coach) Rodney (Eade) would be pretty pleased with where they're at," Craig said.

"They're a very aggressive offensive side so they are a difficult side to play against."

Craig has gambled on Chris Knights for the twilight clash, the forward to play his first AFL game since he suffered a foot injury in round five.

Knight hasn't played any football in the past two weeks, sidelined by a rib injury in the SANFL.

"It's not ideal," Craig said of Knights' preparation.

"The speed of the game will probably catch him a bit early but we're keen to get him back into that forward line."

The Crows have also summoned winger Brodie Martin for his first game after undergoing a knee reconstruction a year ago.

"It will be quick game, it will be a tough game to come in for, for both Brodie and Chris, but you have to cope with it at some time," Craig said.

While both appear underdone, the duo and Graham Johncock, who will return from suspension, add pace to the 11th-placed Crows - a fact noted by Bulldogs coach Eade.

"They are a hard running side, they have got a lot of players who can run the lines really well," Eade said.

The Dogs are hitting their straps ahead of their finals campaign, with Eade declaring "no team holds any fear for us".

"We have just started to gather some form and momentum and some confidence," he said.

"Things are starting to improve but certainly we are under no illusions, we haven't sewn up a top four spot."
