Saints recall Baker for AFL grand final

Tough St Kilda defender Steven Baker is set for an AFL grand final recall.

The Saints have recalled Baker for Saturday's premiership decider against Collingwood and dropped backup ruckman Ben McEvoy.

The Magpies have made two changes, recalling full-back Simon Prestigiacomo and small forward Leon Davis for Tyson Goldsack and Nathan Brown.

St Kilda are taking a big risk with Baker, who has not played since round 13.

He received a controversial nine-week suspension for a succession of incidents involving Geelong opponent Steve Johnson and only became eligible for a recall at the start of the finals.

Baker also was laid-up for several days during his suspension with a broken toe.

He was apparently close to returning to the side for the qualifying final win over Geelong and then last Saturday night's preliminary final win over the Western Bulldogs.

Prestigiacomo is also a gamble, having been out of action since round 20 with a badly-corked thigh.

Davis was a late withdrawal from Friday night's preliminary final win over Geelong with hamstring tightness.

Davis' poor finals record means he, like Baker and Prestigiacomo, will be under the spotlight in Saturday's big clash.
