AFL club-in-waiting Greater Western Sydney have finalised their selection of priority-listed 17-year-olds with South Australian duo Josh Growden and Jarrod Harding agreeing to join the Giants.

Midfielder Growden and Harding, who is a medium-sized forward, were both recruited from SANFL club Woodville-West Torrens.

Alan McConnell, the Giants' high performance manager, said Growden and Harding would both bring unique qualities to the playing group.

"We think that Growden's maturity and leadership skills in addition to his football acumen will be a great addition to our list and Harding provides another dimension of speed and skill to the Giants," said McConnell.

"We're delighted with the calibre of the boys as players and as individuals.

"They're pioneers for our footy club and will set the foundations for what lies ahead over the next five to 10 years.'

GWS were able to pre-list a dozen 17-year-olds ahead of their AFL debut in 2012.

The new club will play in the new North East Australian Football League next year.
