Bustling Melbourne winger Cooper Vuna is in doubt for the Rebels' Super Rugby clash with the Western Force on Saturday night.

Vuna strained his quad during the Rebels' last round 42-25 romp over the Hurricanes in Melbourne.

The former Newcastle Knights NRL flyer again impressed, scoring a try and setting up another for halfback Nick Phipps.

Vuna was unable to train on Monday, joining fellow injured players Sam Cordingley, Mark Gerrard, James Hilgendorf, Julian Huxley, Hoani Macdonald and Kevin O'Neill on the sidelines.

All players will be given until Wednesday's training session to prove their fitness.
