Kearns set to re-sign with Storm

NSW Origin prop Robbie Kearns is expected to reject offers from Cronulla and the Wests Tigers to re-sign with Melbourne for another two years.

Kearns' manager George Mimis will meet with Storm executive director John Ribot to thrash out the details of a deal which is likely to offer the 31-year-old forward a coaching position at the club when he decides to retire.

Meanwhile, New Zealand coach Daniel Anderson has hinted the national selectors will pick either Lance Hohaia or Motu Tony at five-eighth for next Friday night's Test against Australia - despite both playing in the NZ domestic competition.

Anderson ruled out handing a Test debut to teenager Thomas Leuluai, who is currently wearing the No.6 jersey for the Warriors.

"I can tell you Thomas Leuluai won't be picked, he's not ready for Test football at the moment," Anderson said.

"There are plenty of blokes, even if they are (playing) in New Zealand."

There's a chance both Hohaia and Tony could be named in the Kiwi squad, which will be named on Sunday night.

The Kiwis also have their problems at fullback.

Parramatta centre David Vaealiki is likely to wear the No.1 jersey, however, Tony, Warriors centre Clinton Toopi, or teammates Francis Meli and Henry Fa'afili are other options.

Warriors gamebreaker Ali Lauiti'iti is a certain selection, although he is likely to be named on the bench after playing only two games since coming back from a serious arm injury.
