Australia's Martin Marinov won gold in the 500m C1 on the final day of the canoe/kayak Olympic test event at Schinias.

He edged out Greece's Andreas Kiligkaridis to secure the gold.

However, the roles were reversed in the 1000m C1 final, Kiligkaridis snatching gold and Marinov the silver.

Aussie veteran Shelley Oates Wilding, who is making a return to competitive paddling after a three-year lay-off, took the bronze in the women's 500m K1.

The event was won by German Conny Wassmuth from Israeli paddler Karmi Lior.

Hungarian Istvan Betlenfalvi took the 500m K1 gold, from the classy Spanish pair of Borja Pietro Valera in second, and Javier Hernanz Agueria in third.

The 500m K2 race went to the Estonian pair of Tarmo Tootsi and Peter Becker in a fast time 1 min 30 seconds, from Lithuanians Vytautas Vaicikonis and Lankas Mindgaus, with six hundredths of a second separating the next four boat across the line.

The final event saw the Israeli K2 crew of Adi Gafny and Larissa Peisakhovic blitz the rest of the K2s, rounding off a successful regatta for the Israeli team.
