Leaders still ahead of record

New Zealand yacht Konica Minolta has skipped out to a two mile lead in the Sydney to Hobart yacht race.
It is the largest lead the Kiwi boat has held over defending champion Skandia, who has slipped to second after leading most of the trek down the New South Wales coast.
AAPT and Nicorette remain slightly further adrift from the leaders in third and fourth respectively.
Five yachts have retired from the 116 boat fleet.
