Penrith halfback Luke Lewis will escape suspension despite being cited for a dangerous throw in his side's loss to Melbourne on Monday night.

Lewis was charged with making a grade one dangerous throw in the 31st minute of the 40-6 loss at CUA Stadium. However, he will avoid suspension with an early guilty plea.

The Panthers have a must-win match against the Warriors in Auckland on Sunday.

In the only other charge arising from round 24, Bulldogs forward Brad Morrin escaped suspension for a grade-one careless high tackle.

Morrin was placed on report in the 43rd minute of last Friday's NRL clash with Parramatta for a swinging high tackle on Jarryd Hayne.

The Bulldog made an early guilty plea to the offence and will be free to play Brisbane at Sydney's ANZ Stadium this Sunday.
