Sydney Roosters utility Setaimata Sa has admitted charges including resisting arrest at the Coogee Bay Hotel but denies assaulting a female police officer.

In Waverley Local Court on Wednesday, Sa pleaded guilty to refusing to leave licensed premises, maliciously damaging property and resisting arrest.

But the 22-year-old New Zealand rugby league international pleaded not guilty to assaulting a police officer, following an allegedly alcohol-fuelled incident at the eastern Sydney hotel on August 30.

His bail was continued and his case adjourned for mention at the same court on November 25.

Last month, his bail conditions were amended to ban him from being drunk in public or attending the Coogee Bay Hotel.

He was initially banned from consuming alcohol or entering a licensed premises.

According to court documents, Sa was refused entry to the hotel just before 10pm (AEST) on August 30 because he was drunk, and police were called after he refused to leave.
