Schneider accepts two-game AFL ban

St Kilda's Adam Schneider has accepted a two-match ban for striking Collingwood's Brent Macaffer during last week's AFL grand final.

Schneider was charged with a level three striking offence for the third-quarter incident.

The contact was assessed as intentional, low impact and high contact.

Due to the grand final's 100 per cent loading, the penalty increases from 225 to 450 points, which would normally result in a four-match suspension.

However, Schneider's five-year good record cuts the penalty by 25 per cent to 393.75 points.

An early plea reduced the penalty by a further 25 per cent to 295.31, resulting in a suspension for the first two matches of the 2011 season.
