Adelaide's Richard Tambling and St Kilda's Zac Dawson are facing one-match bans from the AFL's Match Review Panel.

Dawson was charged with a level-two striking offence against Adelaide's Chris Knights, the incident occurring during the first quarter of the round-six match at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.

The backman's previous poor record means his one-match sanction must remain at one match, even with an early plea.

Tambling has been hit with a level-three striking charge for his clash with Adam Schneider, also during the first quarter.

His five-year good record means the ex-Tiger can accept a one-match sanction with an early plea.

Melbourne's Luke Tapscott can accept a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future for a level-one charge of rough conduct against West Coast's Mark Nicoski that happened during Thursday's game in Perth.

Adelaide's Sam Jacobs can also escape with a reprimand and 93.75 carry-over points with an early plea to a level-one charge of rough conduct against St Kilda's Jason Gram.

Crows forward Kurt Tippett can take a reprimand and 93.75 points for a level-two striking offence against Saints defender Sam Fisher.

Western Bulldogs utility Ryan Griffen has been charged with making negligent contact with umpire Michael Vozzo during the third quarter of Sunday's game against Collingwood and can accept a $900 sanction with an early plea.

The Match Review Panel assessed the incident between Adelaide's Graham Johncock and St Kilda's James Gwilt and said the contact to Gwilt's head was accidental after Johncock slipped.

No action was taken against Richmond's Alex Rance and Brisbane's Andrew Raines who were found to be contesting the ball during a fourth-quarter clash at the MCG on Saturday night.
