Bock, Jackson facing AFL bans

Gold Coast defender Nathan Bock faces a one-match ban with an early plea after being charged by the AFL Tribunal with a rough conduct offence.

And Richmond's Daniel Jackson will also miss one game if he takes an early plea on a striking charge.

Bock was charged with a level two offence against Port Adelaide's Jackson Trengove during his team's breakthrough first ever AFL win at AAMI Stadium on Saturday.

The offence drew 225 demerit points and a two-match sanction, but can be reduced to 168.75 points and a one-match sanction because of Bock's clean record.

Jackson was charged with a level two striking offence against North Melbourne defender Scott Thompson from Sunday's game at Etihad Stadium.

His previous poor record, including two suspensions last year, means Jackson will miss one match with an early plea but he risks two matches on the sideline if he contests the charge.
