McKnight through to 1500m semis

Australian Kaila McKnight has advanced to the semi-finals of the women's 1500m at the world athletics championships in Daegu.
McKnight, 25, took the lead midway through the race before being overpowered in the final lap and finishing ninth in four minutes 08.74 seconds.
But that proved good enough to move through to Tuesday's semi-finals as she was in the fastest of the three heats, won by two-time defending champion Maryam Yusuf Jamal from Bahrain in 4:07:04.
