The Brisbane Bullets recorded their second National Basketball League win in as many days after defeating the injury ravaged Townsville Crocodiles 113 to 84.

The southerners backed up for the Queensland derby at the Townsville Entertainment Centre after a hard fought 116-107 victory over the Perth Wildcats on Friday night.

The Townsville outfit kept the defending premiers honest in a tightly contested first quarter before the Joey Wright coached Bullets took the lead in the second.

The Bullets had too much fire power for the struggling Crocs with star import Ebi Ere and Australian representative CJ Bruton shooting the lights out with 27 and 20 points respectively.

After an unusually quiet start to the game, Bruton hit 13 points in the third quarter to snuff out any chance of a Crocodiles revival.

The locals were left to rue an abysmal shooting record only hitting 27 from 75 shots.

Ben Pepper was again the Crocs leader dominating the boards at both ends while John Rillie contributed a game high 22 points.

"(In the second half) our offence was clicking, our defence was clicking at the same time so that's when it kind of blew out there," Wright said.

"Anytime you can win two in two nights is a good thing.

"I remember thinking Perth at home and Townsville on the road the next night it was going to be a tough road trip, but it was good to get through it."

Townsville coach Trevor Gleeson labelled the defeat "embarrassing".

"Obviously we have to get them in, but there was a lot more than that," he said.

"Brisbane really stepped up after halftime, we didn't come to the challenge.

"To get beaten by 29 points is very, very embarrassing especially at home and I apologise to the crowd for that, it is unacceptable.

Townsville product and point guard Kelvin Robertson agreed with Gleeson's sentiments but remained positive about his team's next match.

"It has been a good reality check for us and we have just got to keep battling and stay together and New Zealand at home will be a tough game but we can definitely get the win," he said.
